REVIEW: FUSCHIA EYE SHADOW + FACE PRO-COLLECTION PALETTES

One can never have too many eyeshadow palettes, right? I actually got these palettes back in March at the Irish Beauty Show and it was the first time I’ve really tried Fuchsia, and the best part is it’s an Irish makeup brand.

When I was at the Beauty Show I actually picked up a few different products from Fuchsia  and I have to say I’m impressed by the brand so far, so expect future reviews of some of their products. I bought two pre-made palettes from their new pro-collection which had just launched at the beginning of the year. Freedom style palettes are all the range at the moment so I thought I’d give this brand a try.

Unfortunately the palettes I picked don’t have names but I just got this neutral toned 21 eyeshadow palette, and a duo face palette with two setting powders. Out of the two I use the face palette more as I don’t always wear eyeshadow, but I always set my face with powder. The eyeshades are really pigmented and are very easy to blend. This wouldn’t be my favourite palette that I own but whenever I try it I’m never disappointed. I swatched some of the more intense colours in the palette and as you can see they come out beautifully.

As for the face powder I initially thought the white shade would be more pigmented and ideal for highlighting the under eye, however its actually the pinky shade that highlights better. The white doesn’t turn out very bright on your face and you really need to pick up a lot of product to get a decent colour payoff, which is why it’s not as loved as the pinky shade.

It doesn’t take long to see which one I preferred which is why the pinky shade has sadly hit pan. This colour is beautiful for setting your under eye concealer and really brightens that area up if you have dark circles. It’s also ideal for cleaning up your contour if you want to ‘bake’ to make it really sharp. They leave the skin not only feeling but looking smooth and I would definitely repurchase the pinky shade when I run out. I would give the eyeshadow palette a 7/10 and the face palette a 8/10.

Hope you’re having a great week,
