As I missed the October favourites bandwagon, I thought I would just do my current beauty favourites of the moment. I don’t have that many because I’m such a creature of habit and stick to things I can rely on, however these bits here are either new or I’ve dug them out of my collection. Its quite a random array of things I’ve got here.
To start off, this month I have been loving my Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream. I won’t go into much detail on it as I’ve done a post here, but it has done wonders for my dermatitis and is a staple for your winter skincare. Also I have been loving my new moisturiser I have yet to do a review on, but ever since my Origins moisturiser was most likely the cause of my dermatitis, I looked for a new moisturiser and N0.7 is one of the best! I got the one specifically designed for dry/normal skin as I am a mixture of both, and it has done wonders for my skin. It clams to leave your skin hydrated for 24 hours and it really does. The last new thing I’ve been loving is this Victoria Secret body mist in ‘Mango Temptation’. Its just the right mixture of bitter and sweet which is my favourite kind of scent. It is my first Victoria Secret spray and I can already see what all the hype is about!
Everything else I’ve been loving have been rectified from my collection, as I always stick to my classics. For lips I’ve constantly been using my NYX lip liner in 860 ‘Peekaboo Neutral” because it matches most lip looks I go for. I usually wear a nude/mauvey shade on a daily basis and this is adaptable to them all. And its only about €5! Next is the Soap and Glory Sexy Mother-pucker lip crayon in Nudist, and I love this because it goes beautifully on top of any nude colour and just adds a slight sheen if you don’t want a full on gloss lip. It always adds a nice touch of a pinky nude colour to the lips.
Moving on to the face, I forgot how amazing the Maybeline age rewind is for concealing the under eye area. Blends really nice and looks smooth, however if you don’t set it, it can crease quite fast. The Smashbox Studio Skin is one of my favourite foundations but a little too dark, but I recently self tanned so I was finally able to use it again which is why I have been loving it. It has amazing coverage and a slight bit of dewiness which us dry skin girls love. And last but not least, is the Sleek contour kit in Light. I got this months ago but never really got into it, and the other day I was bored of using the same old bronzer so I gave this a go and I don’t know how I didn’t try it sooner. Its just the perfect ashy brown shade ideal for contouring, and it hollows out the cheeks beautifully. The best part is it also comes with a highlight and blush which I’ve been told are very comparable to Nars. There you have it, my current favourites of the moment. And hopefully next month I’ll be in time for the November favourites!
