Makeup is quite like clothes, in the fact that you can mix and match different days and switch up your lipstick or bronzer etc. However on an everyday basis when I’m not feeling adventurous or when I’m running late for work I’ll stick to these products as I know they’ll work. And voila! We are presented with my everyday makeup products.
Foundation: For the past few months I have been using the Smashbox 15 hour Studio Skin foundation, and it has been amazing! I initially picked it up in duty free and was terrified of using it for the first time as the colour seemed to dark, however when I finally did try it I never looked back! Its rare one can say a product actually does what it says on the bottle and this foundation will not budge off your face for the duration you wear it! Although there is no spf in it (which makes it ideal for nights out), it would be great for summer months as it is sweat proof and it is very build-able.
Primer: This primer is an oldie but a goodie, which is the Loreal Lumi Magique. This primer can also be used as a dupe for Mac’s Strobe Cream, as it illuminates the face whilst it also ensures your makeups longevity. It feels natural on the skin and leaves the skin glowing from within.
Bronzer: Makeup Forever Bronzer in No. 20 is my absolute holy grail when it comes to bronzers. Bronzer is one of my favourite products to apply so I do consider myself quite picky when it comes to choosing the perfect one, and I’ve definitely gone through my fair share. It is the perfect shade of bronzer which can be applied naturally or built up for nights out, it is also very blend-able for beginners.
Powder: Soap and Glory is a very under-rated brand in the makeup industry, who have the most amazing vintage packaging I’ve ever seen. This Kick Ass Concealer comes with two congealers, one to conceal dark circles and one to make it blend with your foundation, but it also comes with a white translucent powder which is perfect for setting your under eye concealer preventing it from creasing but also highlights at the same time.
Brows: If you are looking for a holy grail eyebrow product then look no further, because the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip Brow Pomade is 100% worth the hype. The product not only defines your brows it also sets them with its creamy consistency which makes filling in your brows incredibly easy.
Blush: A cult favourite in the beauty industry is the Milani Baked Blush in Luminoso which is the perfect shade of coral with the right amount of shimmer leaving the skin looking healthy and glowing.
Concealer: From someone who has had their fair share of bad breakouts I know how hard it is to find a good concealer (and boy have I struggled), but the Collection Lasting Perfection is the best one I’ve found on the market. It provides amazing coverage for blemishes and under eye circles which also lasts all day and will not disappear as most concealers I’ve tried.
Mascara: The Jordana Best Lash Extreme is only a couple of dollars in the states, and is amazing at curling your lashes as black as they can be.
Lips: My perfect lip combination at the moment is the Milani lipstick in Nude Creme topped off with they NYX Buttergloss in Tiramisu. These two together are like a match made in heaven and compliment each other very well, and both very affordable from the ‘drugstore’.
And there you have it, my everyday makeup products and why they are so reliable, I hope it was useful and helps you find your dream everyday makeup products!
